On Saturday, May 1st, our art teacher, Hope Lord, was honored as Maines Middle Level Art Teacher of the Year Hope is a fantastic educator. She regularly collaborates with staff across the school to best support the schools overall mission and culture, in order to meet our students needs. Hope seeks out opportunities to collaborate and connect with our larger community so that our students can learn and experience art in new and unique ways. Just recently, Hope was awarded a grant for the Maine Department of Educations Pilot Program to collaborate with textile artist Pamela Moulton, to create a Virtual Artist Residency Program. Hope volunteers her time within the district in order to find ways to reach all students and meet their needs artistically, academically, and emotionally. As a leader, Hope has also thrived, having taken on multiple leadership roles, in nearly every capacity. There is no one more deserving of this award and we are so proud to have such a fantastic caring educator running our Art Program here at MCMS
Congratulations, Hope Lord!
