On Thursday, June 10, the middle school is collecting laptops from all students. It is imperative that devices, carrying bag, device covers, and chargers are all returned on that day. Anything not turned in will result in a phone call to a parent to have it returned to school that day, and if the item is lost, you will be getting a bill from RSU 38. Please start to make a plan so that we can have a seamless technology collection on June 10!
This is a reminder about the Covid-19 vaccine clinic for students 12 years of age and older. The clinic is scheduled Monday June 7th. Students who already received their first dose at school are automatically signed up for a second dose. Students who want a first dose at this clinic must be registered through Northern Light. Parents must email Northern Light HCHCovid@northernlight.org to request registration forms. This takes up to 24 hours to process. Forms can then be submitted electronically with DocuSign. Reminder, COVID-19 Vaccination Q&A for High School and Middle School Families is tonight! The Health Center is excited to offer an informational session with Dr. Sydney Sewall on Monday, May 10th at 7 pm via Zoom. Dr Sewall will provide fact based information on the COVID-19 vaccine followed by a Q&A session. Reminder: If you traveled during vacation week to a non-exempt, you must submit a negative COVID-19 test before your child returns to school. The current mandate by Governor Mills requires a test or a 10 day quarantine on return to Maine. Dear MCMS Students and Families This letter is to follow up on the notification Superintendent Charette sent today. A middle school student has tested positive for COVID-19. All students and staff who were considered a primary contact of this student have been contacted. As always, please monitor yourself/your student for signs and symptoms. Call a health care provider if symptoms start. It is important that you call a healthcare facility before you show up in person. Stay home if you are sick. The middle school will be going to remote learning beginning Monday, 1/11/21 through Friday, 1/15/21. Students will return to school on Tuesday 1/19/21. The school will be providing breakfast and lunch for anyone in need, available for pick up on Tuesdays and Fridays, 2-3pm outside of the high school. This is available for every student. As all students will be remote learners, we are asking any student identified as an “At-Home Learner” to follow this schedule. At Lifetouch, we are humbled to be a part of providing that tradition. We know how important yearbooks are - especially in times like these. We want to take a moment to acknowledge this year’s delayed yearbook delivery is not what you, as our customers expect, nor deserve, from Lifetouch. We want you to be aware that our primary yearbook production facilities are located in some of the states that are being hardest hit by the pandemic. We have prioritized the safety of our employees; and we are following all state and local health guidelines to create a safe working environment. Social distancing requirements mean that there are fewer people available to work at any given time. These changes have impacted our production schedule in meaningful ways. We realize this has created a lot of frustration since we are currently unable to provide an estimated delivery time frame for your school’s yearbook. Essential Materials Pick Up #2 Information If your child has materials they need from school, please contact your child's advisor or team teachers to arrange the pickup or delivery. Things will be gathered and ready on Wednesday, 4/29/20 from 7-9 am. Unfortunately, no students or parents will be allowed in the building; this will be a drive up service only. Remote Learning Prep: Essential School Materials Pick Up Information Starting Monday March 30, 2020, we will be starting Remote Learning. Students will have access to materials for learning on Google Classroom. If your child is in need of hard copies, or has any needed materials, please contact your child's advisor by 5pm, Tuesday 3/24, to arrange the pickup or delivery Things will be gathered and ready on Friday March 27th at the following times: 7:30-9am 4-5pm Unfortunately, no students or parents will be allowed in the building; this will be a drive up service only.
